What to Expect After your Emotion Code or Body Code Session

Understanding the Emotion Code & Body Code

The Emotion Code uses muscle testing to access information held within the subconscious mind and gently identify and release trapped emotions — the energetic imprints of past experiences that may continue to influence how we feel and function.

The Body Code expands on this approach, recognising that the subconscious holds information not only about emotional baggage, but about many other areas of the body and its wellbeing. Through muscle testing, we can ask what underlying imbalances may be relevant to the issue we're focusing on, including emotional, energetic, structural, nutritional, toxic, pathogenic and lifestyle factors.

Rather than assuming what your body needs, we allow its own wisdom to guide the session towards what it is ready to address, with the intention of supporting its natural ability to heal, restore balance and function at its best.

After Your Session

At the end of your session, we check with your subconscious mind to see how much processing time your body may need to integrate the work. We then set the intention for this process to unfold with ease and grace.

After your session, your body enters a natural period of processing and integration as it adjusts to what has been released or addressed.

Everyone responds differently. You may feel lighter, calmer, more relaxed or energised, or notice subtle changes in how you feel physically or emotionally.

At other times, you may feel tired, emotional, reflective, or simply in need of more rest and quiet. Occasionally, emotions connected with what has been released may briefly resurface. Crying can also be a very natural emotional release.

Processing is often gentle and may last a few days, although every person and every session is different. Rather than looking for a particular response, give yourself space to notice how you feel and what may shift over the days that follow.

Healing can unfold in layers. Some people notice changes quickly, while for others they emerge gradually over time. There is no right way to respond and no particular outcome that needs to occur.

Supporting Yourself

As your body processes and integrates the session, a little extra care can help support your overall wellbeing. Most importantly, listen to your body and notice what feels supportive for you.

  • Hydrate – Drink plenty of diverse fluids to keep energy flowing and support detoxification.

  • Rest – Honor your body’s need for downtime and more sleep. A warm bath with sea or Epsom salts helps draw out residual energy and soothe your system.

  • Nourish – Choose wholesome, grounding foods and anything that feels nourishing and supportive.

  • Gentle Movement – Walking, stretching or spending time in nature can help you reconnect with your body and gently get things moving.

  • Choose Joy – If you're feeling a little low or heavy, doing something that genuinely brings you joy can help shift how you feel. Move your body, dance, sing, laugh, spend time with someone you love, play with your pet, or simply do something that makes you smile.

  • Reflect – Revisit your session notes or journal anything you notice. Sometimes insights or connections become clearer once you've had time to process.

A Loving Reminder

Be kind and gentle with yourself after your session. There is no need to analyse every sensation or look for signs that something is happening. Simply allow yourself and your body the time and space to integrate the work in whatever way feels natural for you.

If something doesn't feel right, symptoms persist, or you have concerns about your physical or emotional health, please seek appropriate advice from a qualified healthcare professional rather than assuming it is part of processing.

Please feel free to let me know how you're feeling in the days following your session. How you feel between sessions is valuable feedback and can help guide what your body may be ready to work with next.

With much love,
Karen
